- UHS started in January 2001 with 110 students as a private licensed school.It was started by Mr. Noah, K. Luboyera Semugoma, son of late Rev. Festus Luboyera who was also professionally a teacher. He was a headteacher for more than 40 years and died at the age of 91. The number of students has increased steadily representing 52% increment over the years. Mr. Semugoma is a teacher by profession and was a headteacher for over 15 years. He retired from civil service after serving in the teaching profession for more than 30 years. On retirement there were many children who were being affected by long distances they had to walk to schools which were actually about 3 – 8 Km from their respective homes. This greatly affected the girl – child and the less focused children yet they had to attend school since this is the next generation which was expected to be productive at all costs. In addition, there were many children who were craving for education but had no access to it because of various reasons mainly orphanaged by the AIDS scourge, disability, poverty and cultural rigidities.
